Plagron Euro Pebbles LECA is suitable for hydroponic cultivation, mainly in recirculating irrigation systems like Wilma. If regularly and properly cleaned, its lifespan can be several years. The disadvantage is that LECA does not absorb and retain moisture, and therefore it is not suitable for open systems. When cultivating in Autopot systems, LECA can be used as part of the growing medium.
